A group break is generally referred to as a group of individuals buying “slots” to receive potential hits and/or cards from the break. The slot is usually a certain team, division, box, packs, but may vary depending on the type of break. This is a fun and affordable way for collectors to potentially receive hits and/or cards from their favorite players or teams without purchasing an entire box or case.

Group breaks can involve every sport along with non-sport products.  At Warrior, we pride ourselves in providing high-end breaks as well as specially priced breaks to keep the fun affordable for everyone!

It is a great alternative to buying a full case or box. For example, a case of a high-end product could cost $3,200.  Customers would be able to join the case break for $100 per spot ($3,200/32 NHL or NFL teams).  Group Breaks are a great and fun way to be involved in a large break at minimal costs.

There are 32 people in a group break and 32 teams in the NHL or the NFL. Once each spot is filled and payments are received for each spot in the break, we open the boxes/case. You will receive all hits (non-base cards) of your team from the group break you signed up for.

All Group Breaks are done live on YouTube & Breakers TV. Each group break has a scheduled time but will only go once all spots are filled. After the break the video will be uploaded onto our YouTube channel for you to re-watch.

Once the break is over, the cards will be divided up into teams and shipped/picked up to the appropriate members that have those teams.

While most of our breaks have a date and time to be opened, all slots must be sold before we can have the break. If a break does not sell out we will push it back to give more time for a sellout. If after pushing back the start date, there are still open spots we will cancel the break and we can credit your account or issue a refund.

Yes!  You may buy as many spots as you’d like in the same or in different breaks.  Depending on the break, you may increase your chances of getting a certain team or having early choice in draft breaks.

Unfortunately, that is the risk of joining group breaks BUT you will receive Warrior Reward points that you can use on our online store and towards future breaks!
The day after the break at the shop!

Not a problem! All our breaks are uploaded to our YouTube channel for you to rewatch. Your break number will be in the video title to make it easier to find and replay your break.

If you cannot be present on YouTube during a draft styled break, you have 2 options:

1) Trust us to pick the best team available (in our opinion).

2) Email us at info@warriorcollecting.com with your list of teams in order. We will pick based on your position and the top team you want that is still available.

In the description of each group break will be the scheduled date and time. We aim to break on schedule; however, breaks will be done once all the spots are taken.  All break times are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Absolutely!  You are more than welcome to watch any of our live breaks.  You can even participate in the chat.  We just ask that you are respectful to everyone in the room.  Also, those that have purchased spots will receive priority for questions.

We offer several methods of payment through Credit Card, PayPal, or e-Transfer.

Once you have checked out, you will receive a confirmation email with your break details.

If paying through Credit Card or PayPal:

You can input your credit card info on our site. Your card will be processed through PayPal even if you don’t have an account. STEP 4
WATCH YOUR BREAK!

Go to our YouTube channel at your break’s scheduled date and time where we will be live!

If your break involves randoms, there will be roughly 2 minutes allocated to trade your team with other members (for higher-end breaks, more time may be allocated). If you are not live during the randoms, you can view the results on the page of the break you are in or watch it on YouTube as we record the whole live feed.

What if I can’t make it to my break?

If you’re not able to be there when your break goes live, you can view it on our YouTube channel later. Simply put the break # in the search section of our channel to find it.

If you cannot be present on YouTube during a draft styled break, you have 2 options:

  • Trust us to pick the best team available (in our opinion)
  • Email us at info@warriorcollecting.com with your list of teams in order. We will pick based on your position and the top team you want that is still available.

types of breaks

Breaks that consist of a number of individuals paying the same price for a “slot” in the break. All the teams or divisions involved in the break then would be randomized live on camera. Then, we will randomize the individual’s name. When you buy into a random team break, you’ll know exactly which team or division you have before the box and case breaking begins. If the box or case has hits/cards from your team, you will receive those cards.

All teams involved in the break would be priced out accordingly. This would be a first come, first served type of break. Each team’s price would be determined by the potential hits/cards from the product checklist.

This break uses serial numbers 0-9 and would be a 10 spot break. Serial numbers on cards are determined the following ways: Serial Numbered Cards – The last number from the left side of a serial number. Here is an example: 09/10 – would go to the customer with #9 in the break. Redemption Cards – If the official checklist does not state what the card is numbered too, then it will be randomized to all participants in the break. If the checklist states the card will be numbered less than 10, then it will be randomized to the eligible participants in the 10 or less spot. For example, if the card will be serial numbered to 5, then only participants 1-5 will be part of the random for the card live on stream.

Active Player Cards: A card will be awarded to the team name/logo that is listed on the front or back of the card, not the jersey they are wearing. If there is no team name/logo on the card, then the card would be awarded to the team city name that is on the card. If a player played for a team that no longer exists, it will go to the team that they became.

Retired Player Cards: A card will be awarded to the team name/logo that is listed on the front or back of the card, not the jersey they are wearing. If the player is in college uniform the card will be awarded to the team, they played for the most. If a player is retired, and no jersey is worn or team specified, it will go to the team that the player played the most games for. For example: Peyton Manning has 208 games played with the Colts and 48 games played with the Broncos. His card would be awarded to the Colts if in college uniform. If a player played for a team that no longer exists, it will go to the team that they became.

We follow the franchise of the team. For example: If we pulled a Houston Oiler card it would be awarded to the Tennessee Titans. If a player played for a team that no longer exists, it will go to the team that they became.

Cards that have multiple players on it will be randomized three times. An individual will receive as many spots as they do players/teams on the card. For example, if a person owns two of the three players/teams then they would receive two spots in the randomization of that card, and the other person would receive the third spot.

Base cards from group breaks do not shop unless they are serial numbered or from high end products.

Box Breaking is intended to be a fun event and we encourage interaction with the chat feature. Our main goal is to make your hobby experience as enjoyable as possible. We please ask that you follow proper conduct while participating in a break. We will not tolerate any swearing or disrespect of our staff or other break participants. We reserve the right to ban a customer from participating in future breaks if we feel it is necessary. Rules for Multi-Player Cards, Retired Multi-Team Players, etc.

In a team select, each member chooses their team and will receive any hits (non-base cards) from that particular team.

The price of each team varies (eg. Pittsburgh is $40 while Toronto is $60). Once all teams are taken, the break will start.

In a team random, members choose from numbered spots (the amount varies depending on the number of teams in the sport). The teams are then randomly assigned.

There is a 2-minute window prior to each break that we allow you to trade teams amongst other group break participants.

In a Crackerjack, like with the snack, everyone gets something but there is one prize!  A variety of singles, packs, boxes, grading tickets and other items are randomized between all the participants in the break. Spots are typically numbered 1-50 or 1-100 (though may vary).

There will be headliners in the break – Ex: new boxes from major brands, high end singles, etc.

Everyone in the break will walk away with something such as singles, packs, boxes, grading tickets, and more!

In a team draft, spots are numbered and then the order is randomized. The random result determines the order in which a member chooses their team, called the draft order. After the draft order is determined, the picking process begins on YouTube. You can pick whichever team you like if they are still available at your pick.

A switch break is like a team draft. The difference is that the break will be split in two and the draft order will flip for the second part.

For instance, an individual has the first pick in the first part of the break, they will have the last pick in the second part of the break.

In a draft style break, the boxes are broken and immediately following the draft order is randomized. Whoever lands on top gets first pick of whichever card they would like from the break, 2nd gets to pick from what’s left, and so on until there are no cards remaining. Whoever has last pick in the first round, gets first pick in the second round of drafting.

In a division style break, the spots are broken down by division within the sport. Example would be the AFC West in the NFL, the Metropolitan Division in the NHL, Etc

Letter randoms are like team randoms but instead of a team randomly being assigned, letters representing the first letter of the LAST name are assigned.

In a number random break, numbers representing the last number of the first half of the serial number (e.x. 17/499 would be 7). Users select a spot number they want and pay the applicable price. The spot numbers do not determine the number(s) you get for the breaks. The names and numbers are randomized once the break fills.

In a double up the number of spots sold is equal to half of the number of teams in the league. For example, in a Football double up, 16 spots would be sold as there are 32 teams in the league. When the team randoms are done each spot will be assigned 2 teams.

This is a larger break consisting of a multitude of boxes and or cases.  Spots for these breaks are typically awarded as prizes in breaks versus being able to be purchased.  This is due to the higher cost of these breaks and is a fun way to break products with additional incentive.

These are like break versus break formats.  We will develop two identical breaks.  Once the spots are sold out for both breaks, we will open the products.  The break that has the lowest serial numbered card will win an additional prize and will be randomized amongst the individuals in that break.  Prizes include boxes, cases, high-end singles, etc.  The prize will be themed the same as the break.  For instance, if it is a Baseball break, the prize will be a Baseball product.

If each break has the same lowest serial number, the members of both breaks will be included in the random for the prize.
